Welcome to the Blog!

If you’re a work from home entrepreneur like myself, sometimes you need to get out of the house and surround yourself in a different area. Luckily for you, the coffee shops in Grand Rapids are some of the best places to work, enjoy delicious coffee and get the creativity flowing again!

Grand Rapids’ Best Coffee Shops

1. Cafe De Miro

Cafe de Miro was started by a husband and wife team who wanted to bring Mediterranean flavors with nutritional benefits to Grand Rapids. This cafe is absolutely beautiful. From the natural light flooding in thanks to the floor to ceiling windows to the beautiful interior design including marble tables and ornate framing on the walls, it is the perfect place to be inspired while working.

I remember visiting Cafe de Miro one morning and I came in around 8:30am. I got so focused on my work that I lost track of time and stayed until about 1:30pm. During that time, the owner was so kind and would bring me complimentary sample drinks with a big smile on his face. It was just the sweetest gesture and I’ve never experienced that before. The family that runs this coffee shop in Grand Rapids truly have hearts of gold and I love supporting their business.

Location: 1878 Breton Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 | Business Hours: Everyday from 8:00am-3:00pm

My go to order: Açaí Bowl paired with the Kurdish Iced Chai

2. Rowster Coffee

Since 2005, Rowster Coffee has been roasting specialty coffee. This is a great place to network, journal and bring your laptop to work. The black and white interior design, warm wooden accents and large natural light window facing Wealthy St is an inviting atmosphere.

Location: 632 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 | Business Hours: Everyday 8:00am-6:00pm

My go to order: Iced Lavender Latte – 10/10 recommend!

3. Wildroast Coffee Co.

This is absolutely one of my favorite spots to go to in the winter! Wildroast Coffee Co. restored this 100 year old building into a warm, intimate coffee shop. You’re able to choose between bar seating, wooden table tops, velvet chairs and booth seating throughout the place. My favorite seat in the coffee shop is the high top facing the window showcasing Chicago Dr SW. Just imagine watching the snow flurries fall down in front of you while sipping the most delicious warm latte. It’s magical!

Location: 4035 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville MI 49418 | Business Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am-6:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am-4:00pm

My go to order: Hot Hazelnut Latte

4. Haggerty’s

Located right off the beltline and with tons of free parking, Haggerty’s is a great cozy coffee shop in Grand Rapids! I’ve personally had lots of business meetings here because I love how fairly quiet it is, the location is great, the staff is super friendly and it’s a good atmosphere. They have a longer table in the back for a group of about 8 to sit at and then they also have tables for two if you’re coming by yourself and would like your own table.

Location: 1600 Beltline Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI | Business Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday: 6:30am-6:00pm, Saturday: 9:00am-2:00pm, Sunday: Closed

My go to order: Drip coffee paired with the “fruitty toast” – the toast is SO good!

5. Schuil Coffee Company

Started by Garry Schuil in 1981, Schuil Coffee Co. is one of the most loved coffee shops in Grand Rapids. When you first enter Schuil, your eyes are drawn immediately to the gorgeous coffee wall, where there are tons of different coffee bean dispensers proudly on display. You can choose to take home coffee flavors from blueberry crumble, Michigan maple, Dulce de Leche, and SO many more. They also have a beautiful coffee counter in which you can order a variety of delicious drinks and sweet treats. There is a limited space seating in the main shop but they also have another room right next to it in which you can work. I’m so drawn to the blue and gold branding at Schuil and their coffee is truly some of the absolute best in Grand Rapids. I highly recommend this place!

Location: 3679 29th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI | Business Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:00am-6:00pm, Saturday: 9:00am-4:00pm, Sunday: Closed

My go to order: A bag of the European Hazelnut flavored coffee to take home and an iced Hazelnut latte to enjoy inside the coffee shop
